Adirondack Cycling Routes


The Adirondacks have some of the best road bike routes in New York State.  With the rich history and stunning scenery the Adirondacks is a fantastic place for multi-day bike touring and the options are endless.

We are not currently equipped to fully outfit bike tours but we can provide guiding, mechanic, sag wagon, and logistics services for bicycle touring in the Adirondacks.




Tour de Adirondacks (294 mi / 473k, 17878 elevation gain)

Lake Placid - Saranac Lake - Loweville - Old Forge - Raquette Lake - Blue Mountain Lake- Long Lake - Newcomb - Keene Valley

This is a big tour around the northern section of the Adirondacks taking you through the most iconic towns in the park and can be completed in 3-5 days.  For a complete summary of this fantastic ride check out Tour de Adirondacks.


Tri-Lakes Tour (95 mi / 153k, 6550 ft elevation gain)

Lake Placid - Saranac Lake - Tupper Lake

Enjoy a ride around the Tri-Lakes region including views of the northern Adirondacks.  Take in the sights of Whiteface Mountain as you pedal by the numerous bodies of water and wooded forests along the route.  This is a great weekend ride. 



High Peaks Big Loop (130.5 mi / 210k, 9790 ft elevation gain)

Lake Placid - Saranac Lake - Tupper Lake - Long Lake - Newcomb - North Hudson - Keene Valley

Known as the "Big Loop" this tour will take you around the entire High Peaks region so you can see them from every direction.  This can be done in 2-3 days but adding a rest day would allow the option to hike or canoe along with way.



Western Adirondack Tour (99.0 mi / 159k, 6670 ft elevation gain)

Lake Placid - Saranac Lake - Tupper Lake - Long Lake - Blue Mountain Lake - Raquette Lake - Inlet - Old Forge

This is a very scenic trip down the west side of the Adirondacks through many historic towns along the way.  Stop at the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, a summer concert in Inlet, or enjoy the waterslides at Enchanted Forest in Old Forge.  Another great weekend trip.
